<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical disk recording technology capable of obtaining a predetermined recording quality, even though jitter measuring accuracy or obtained optimum recording powers are dispersed. <P>SOLUTION: The recording LSI for an optical disk, which detects a jitter amount from a phase error by reproducing test pattern data recorded on the optical disk with different powers and obtains the optimum recording power, includes: an effective recording power range calculation circuit 20 for obtaining such a recording power range that the jitter amount becomes smaller than a predetermined value; and an optimum power calculation circuit 21 for obtaining a center of the obtained recording power range as the optimum recording power, wherein the center of the obtained range is determined as the optimum recording power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
