The present invention provides a method for knitting a knitted fabric which includes a knitting yarn, which is inserted with respect to a knitting yarn in a knitting row direction, using a conventional flat knitting machine without the use of a warp thread device. A basic knitted fabric (8) is knitted with needles (F-A) using a first yarn feeder (4) in a leading row and a third yarn feeder (6) in a trailing row in a knitting row towards the left side. As completed section (2) of the knitting row, sinker loops of the basic knitted fabric (8) are arranged on the front side between a loop C-3 and a loop D-3 and on the back side between a loop C-4 and a loop D-4 with respect to a knitting yarn (2) which is supplied by a second yarn feeder (5) at an intermediate position between the first yarn feeder (4) and the third thread feeder (6). By arranging the two sinker loops on the front and back sides of the knitting yarn (2), the knitting yarn (2) is inserted into a part of the basic knitted fabric (8). |
