PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling connecting the number of client-side interfaces (I/F), fit to the transmission capacity of a line-side I/F, to the line-side I/F, in an optical transmission device controllable of the transmission speed of the line-side I/F.SOLUTION: The optical transmission device includes a plurality of client-side I/F and a plurality of line-side I/F and a cross-connect switch disposed therebetween. When increasing or decreasing the number of client-side I/F connected to a specific line-side I/F via the cross-connect switch, the optical transmission device controls the connection state of the cross-connect switch and the transmission speed of the line-side I/F in a manner that a client signal, corresponding to the client-side I/F connected to the specific line-side I/F after increase or decrease, can be accommodated in a line signal corresponding to the specific line-side I/F. |
