PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device capable of preventing an image defect from occurring caused by a shock given to a belt if a transfer member is arranged at a position where the transfer member does not come into contact with an image carrier via the belt.SOLUTION: An image formation device 100 includes: a plurality of image carriers; image formation means for forming a tonner image on each of the plurality of image carriers; a rotatable endless belt 7 on which the tonner images are transcribed from the plurality of image carriers at the contact points with the plurality of image carriers; a plurality of transfer members that are provided correspondingly to the plurality of respective image carriers and come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the belt at a position where they do not come into contact with the image carriers via the belt; a power supply for applying voltage for transfer to the transfer member coming into contact with the belt; and a backup member 11 that is provided correspondingly to part of the plurality of image carriers and holds the belt between the backup member and the part of the image carriers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
