PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support member with which it is possible to obtain a high reflection preventive effect further simply.SOLUTION: A member for supporting an optical element is characterized in that the member uses a material that absorbs visible light, a structure A that satisfies the condition below is formed on the surface of a face M that is at least one face of the member, the structure A occupying 20% or more of a projection area of the face M that is projected in the normal direction. In the following expression, the one face is a contiguous face among the faces of the support member, and noncontiguous faces are not considered to a face.
