摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic thin wire device by which the applied current amount necessary for the shift movement of a magnetic domain is required less even if the magnetic domain can be efficiently formed.SOLUTION: A magnetic thin wire device is formed with a magnetic film in a thin wire-shape and formed with a magnetic domain different in magnetization direction from the other portion in a part of the longitudinal direction, and includes: a plurality of magnetic thin wires 11 provided in parallel with each other; a magnetic recording head provided at a predetermined position on the magnetic thin wire 11 and forming a magnetic domain on the magnetic thin wire 11;a pulse current source for supplying electrons for making the magnetic domain perform shift movement in the magnetic thin wire 11 by the pulse current; an under layer 16 formed at a position (a recording area 11w) below a magnetic head under the magnetic thin wire 11; and an insulation layer 17 which is made of an insulating material formed in the area below the magnetic thin wire 11 except for the under layer 16. The under layer 16 is high in magnetic permeability as compared with that of the insulation layer 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
