PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stitch skipping to be positively performed.SOLUTION: In a sewing machine 100 which causes a capturing member 191 to capture the loop of a needle thread U formed by a sewing needle 13 under a needle plate 11, thereby forming a stitch, there is provided a stitch skipping device 40 which brings the loop of the needle thread U formed after the sewing needle 13 passes through the bottom dead center in the vertical movement thereof to a position separated from a position P of capture by the capturing member 191. As a result, the capture of the needle thread loop by the capturing member 191 is avoided, and it becomes possible to positively perform stitch skipping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
