PURPOSE: To provide a steering device having a telescopic adjustment mechanism, which has telescopic operability improved by reducing negative effects of shape deformation in welding connection and improving assembling accuracy.CONSTITUTION: The steering device comprises: an inner pipe 1; an outer column 5 having an embracing main body part 51 and a clamp part 52; a stationary bracket 6 having a stationary side part 61; a stopper bracket 2 having a movable guide part 21 to be firmly fixed to the inner pipe 1 and attachment parts 22 and 23 to be formed at both ends in a longitudinal direction of the movable guide part 21; and a hanger bracket 3 having attached parts 32 and 33 to be attached to both attachment parts 22 and 23 formed at both sides in a longitudinal direction thereof and has a side plate part 31 which holds both sides in a width direction of the clamp part 52 and has a long hole 34 for telescopic adjustment formed therein. The attachment part of the stopper bracket 2 is firmly fixed and joined to the attached part of the hanger bracket 3 with a joining member 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
