PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam elastic roller having high vibration accuracy even when a foam elastic layer is thick, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: A production method of a foam elastic roller 1 comprises: a step for performing vulcanization to a foam rubber composition extruded to an outer periphery of a shaft body 2 for acquiring a foam cured body whose thickness is larger than 9 mm; a step for acquiring a foam pressed body by pressing the foam cured body; and a step for polishing the foam pressed body for acquiring a foam elastic layer 3. There is also provided the foam elastic roller 1 having the foam elastic layer 3 whose thickness is larger than 9 mm, and having vibration accuracy of 0.14 mm or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
