PURPOSE: A vehicle traveling mode setting method is provided to satisfy many various traveling conditions and give a proper traveling mode. CONSTITUTION: The vehicle traveling mode setting method has the steps of:storing by presetting many transmission patterns corresponding to many traveling conditions; selecting one pattern among many transmission patterns by a driver; changing the transmission pattern to the selected pattern; and indicating the present set traveling mode. Therefore many various traveling condition can be satisfied and a proper traveling mode according to the frequently changed traveling purpose of the driver, can be provided.
