PURPOSE: A method of transmitting digital information which includes a voice information for ascertaining the quantity of information is provided. CONSTITUTION: A method of transmitting digital information includes the steps of: receiving an order of asking to suggest a quantity of information and transmit a voice information informing a quantity of digital information transmitted from a receiving part during transmitting the digital information to the receiving part (300); calculating the quantity of digital information transmitted to this time and a quantity of information to transmit thereby generating data of the quantity of information (300); converting the data of the quantity of information into the voice information (320, 325); transmitting the voice information to the receiving part(330); and transmitting a remaining information(335). Therefore, when data such as a program or information is transmitted through a computer network, the user of the receiving part can know the received quantity of data and the remaining quantity of data.
