PURPOSE: An electronic payment method and system is provided to pay electronically the contents offered from an information service provider or the commodity purchase in an internet shopping mall by using an ARS(Automatic Response System) coin or a password via a pay ARS phone system. CONSTITUTION: An electronic payment method comprises steps of accessing a pay service site(S30), selecting an ARS coin as a payment tool after downloading contents or purchasing a product(S31), automatically connecting a home page of an ARS electronic payment management server(S32), the payment management server offering an explanation on an ARS coin exchange, and a plurality of ARS phone numbers(S33), dialing the ARS phone numbers(S34), receiving a password corresponding to the necessary ARS coin(S35), an ARS database storing the password and its related information(S36), the user inputting the password for a payment(S37), the pay service site requesting an authorization of the input password to the ARS electronic payment management server(S38) and proceeding the electronic commerce process or the pay contents provision if the password is authorized(S39). |
