PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling air pressure of a tire is provided to automatically control air pressure of the tire with a hydraulic piston, and to reduce the costs for maintaining a vehicle by improving fuel ratio of the vehicle and frictional rate of the tire. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling air pressure of a tire includes a pneumatic sensing part(10) checking air pressure of each tire mounted on a vehicle, a pneumatic controller(20) perceiving pneumatic state of each tire with pneumatic data sensed by the pneumatic sensing part and controlling air of each tire to maintain air pressure required for each tire according to the speed of the vehicle and the strength of a brake, a pneumatic controlling part(30) controlling air pressure of each tire with a hydraulic piston to automatically maintain air amount required for the traveling condition in accordance with the state of vehicle traveling.
