A plurality of connector components (2-6) are fitted loosely over a temporary supporting shaft (1) in a specified order and covered with a thermal shrinkage resin tube (8). The thermal shrinkage resin tube (8) is then heated and the connector components (2-6) are held by the thermally shrunk tube (8). When the temporary supporting shaft (1) is drawn out, a package (12) for optical connector component where the connector components (2-6) are unitized by the tube (8) is produced. Axial holes of the connector components (2-6) are located coaxially and an axial hole (11) extending in the axial direction of the tube (8) is provided.
