PURPOSE: Provided is a liquid detergent composition containing magnesium salt of linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid as a surfactant, which shows excellent cleaning ability with a small amount. CONSTITUTION: The liquid detergent composition contains 7-15wt% of the magnesium salt of linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid as a first surfactant, 1-7wt% of alkyl ether sulfate as a second surfactant, 0.01-0.2wt% of cellulose gum as a thickener, and 0.1-5wt% of a solubilizing agent, wherein the alkylbenzene sulfonic acid is represented by the formula(I). In the formula, R is C12-C18, especially C12-C14 linear chain.
