<p>The invention relates to the resolution of racemic mixtures, and in particular to the separation of enantiomers of chiral alcohols utilising recyclable chiral auxiliaries. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing these recyclable chiral auxiliaries using an enantiomerically pure alcohol.</p>
