The electrode supporting arm has an electrode holder provided at the front end with a profile (1). The cladded steel plates (2) are provided at a distance to each other and are connected with each other in circumferential direction of the profile. The profile has an electrically conducting outer wall. The profile forms a lower inclusion on the plates (4) cladded with the steel plates.
