<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for suppressing the driving of an imaging element for a long time without disturbing a user during confirming composition when photographing a still object. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic camera includes an imaging element, a state detecting part, and a control part. The imaging element picks up a subject image and generates data of a photographed image. The state detecting part detects a still state of a camera. The control part stops power feeding to the imaging element and shifts to a first power saving mode for displaying and outputting a still picture photographed before stopping the power feeding when the duration time of a still state exceeds a time shown by a first threshold in a photographing mode in which the imaging element performs moving image photographing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
