<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability for a user, regarding an information reproducing apparatus and an information reproducing method. <P>SOLUTION: A connection history setting means 1f analyzes a connection stage with information providing apparatuses 2a, 2b to 2n, and if the connection stage is in a predetermined stage, stores identification information on the information providing apparatuses 2a, 2b to 2n as connection partners together with order information in a connection history storage means 1a. When an information reproducing apparatus 1 is newly connected after being disconnected from a network 3, an information providing apparatus detection means 1c detects the information providing apparatuses 2a, 2b to 2n to be connected to the network 3. A permutation means 1d permutates the detected information providing apparatuses 2a, 2b to 2n in connection order based on history information.
