<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a lead alloy from which antimony is removed or is decreased to a sufficiently low level, without leaving an unfavorable component as a material for a grid body in a lead storage battery therein. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the lead alloy, from which antimony is removed or is decreased to a low level, by separating antimony from an antimony-containing lead alloy, includes melting the antimony-containing lead alloy and calcium metal or a calcium lead alloy to generate calcium antimonide, and removing the calcium antimonide which has floated thereon as molten slag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
