PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system and apparatus capable of guaranteeing an original without a plurality of originals. SOLUTION: When recording paper being an original deteriorates and the original is transferred to new recording paper by outputting image data, an image reading part 24 of the image processing apparatus 12 reads a paper fingerprint of the recording paper being an original, and the data of the read paper fingerprint is collated with that of the paper fingerprint stored in the database 40 of a management apparatus 14. As a result of the collation, when it is determined that the recording paper is identical to that stored in the database 40 and it can be guaranteed as the original, the recording paper from which the original is transferred is discarded and the paper fingerprint data of the paper fingerprint of the recording paper to which the original is transferred, i.e., new recording paper, and image data to be output are stored in the database 40.
