摘要 A radiation detector includes: a first scintillator including a first end surface and a second end surface; a second scintillator including a first end surface and a second end surface; a first photodetector detects light emitted from the first end surface of each of the first and second scintillators; a second photodetector c detects light emitted from the second end surface of each of the first and second scintillators; and a position specifying unit configured to specify each radiation incident position on which each radiation has been incident in each of the first and second scintillators, wherein an area of the first end surface of the first scintillator is smaller than an area of the second end surface of the first scintillator, and an area of the first end surface of the second scintillator is larger than an area of the second end surface of the second scintillator.

A radiation detector comprising: a first scintillator including a first end surface positioned on a side of a first end in a predetermined direction, and a second end surface opposite to the first end surface and positioned on a side of a second end in the predetermined direction; a second scintillator disposed in parallel to the first scintillator in a direction intersecting the predetermined direction, and including a first end surface positioned on a side of a first end in the predetermined direction and a second end surface opposite to the first end surface and positioned on a side of a second end in the predetermined direction; a first photodetector configured to detect light emitted from the first end surface of each of the first and second scintillators; a second photodetector configured to detect light emitted from the second end surface of each of the first and second scintillators; and a position specifying unit configured to specify each radiation incident position on which each radiation has been incident in each of the first and second scintillators based on each result detected by the first and second photodetectors, wherein an area of the first end surface of the first scintillator is smaller than an area of the second end surface of the first scintillator, and an area of the first end surface of the second scintillator is larger than an area of the second end surface of the second scintillator.
