PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the pixel signals from the entire cells cannot be obtained when there is an abnormality in any one of the output line, bump or CDS A/D circuit, or even if there is no abnormality, the degree of freedom is low in processing because the combination of the cell and CDS A/D circuit is fixed.SOLUTION: The image sensor comprises: an image pick-up section having a plurality of sets of a unit group including a plurality of pixels for converting the incident light into a pixel signal, and an output line provided corresponding to the unit group, and outputting the pixel signals read, respectively, from the plurality of pixels in the unit group; a plurality of A/D conversion sections for outputting the pixel signal thus input while digitizing; and a switching section for switching the plurality of output lines, respectively, to be input to any one of the plurality of A/D conversion sections. |
