PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbing body in which measures against gel block is taken while keeping an absorbing speed of body fluid at a high speed and to provide an absorbing article with the same.SOLUTION: An absorbing body 1 has an absorbing core 2 having liquid absorbability and a core wrap sheet 4 covering the absorbing core 2. The absorbing core 2 contains a fiber layer 5 having thermoplastic fiber and highly absorbable polymer particle 6 arranged dispersed in the fiber layer 5 and having an absorbing speed by a Vortex method of 25 sec or less. The highly absorbable particle 6 includes first particles 6A arranged in a skin side face and second particles 6B arranged in a cloth side having a particle size smaller than that of the first particle 6A.
