The invention relates to a system for infrared heating of windscreen wipers, which system prevents freezing of the windscreen wipers and the formation of chunks of ice and snow thereon, in extreme situations, such as heavy snow, low temperatures and other conditions. The system for infrared heating of windscreen wipers comprises an infrared heating element mounted longitudinally in a windscreen wiper body, a main electric wire realizing an electrical connection between the electrical system of a car and the windscreen wiper via a detachable connection, and electric cables connecting the infrared heating element to the detachable connection. The system is equipped with a temperature relay which is located under the car bonnet. In the internal cavity of the windscreen wiper body, in which the infrared heating element is mounted, the remaining free space is filled with an elastic material which very effectively absorbs infrared beams and radiates heat. The system is equipped with a button for manually starting up and switching on the electrical power system of the windscreen wiper. The result consists in increasing the reliability of a system for heating windscreen wipers. |
