PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection device that can suppress occurrence of a mist while securing ejection stability, and further to provide a control method therefor.SOLUTION: In a case where pixel data SI corresponding to a current unit period T(n) are data indicating use of a second ejection driving pulse P2, first driving waveform, or a fifth ejection driving pulse P5, second driving waveform, when the pixel data SI corresponding to a subsequent unit period T(n+1) are "00" indicating non-ejection, micro-vibration, or "10" indicating a middle-dot, a front stage portion of the second ejection driving pulse P2 and a rear stage portion of a micro-vibration driving pulse P4 are combined together and are applied to a piezoelectric element as the fifth ejection driving pulse P5. On the other hand, when the pixel data SI corresponding to the subsequent unit period T(n+1) are "01" indicating a small-dot or "11" indicating a large-dot, the second ejection driving pulse P2 is selected and is applied to the piezoelectric element. |
