The invention relates to a stand-only/seat combination allowing grandstands to be fitted in a variable manner with standing places or seats provided with a back rest (2) and a collapsible seat plate (9) which is hingeably joined thereto. The stand-only/seat combination is characterized in that a cover plate (3) is arranged on and joined to the side of the backrest (2) facing the seat plate (9) in an approximately parallel position to said backrest (2). The invention is also characterized in that one of the edges of the cover plate (3) is rotationally connected to the riser (5) of one of the steps of the grandstand, whereby it can be shifted from a horizontal stand-only position into an approximately vertical seating position and fixing means are provided to hold the cover plate (3)/back rest (2) in a horizontal stand-only or vertical seating position. |
