摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the deoxygenation of hydrocarbon fuel in a system efficient in size and weight. SOLUTION: A deoxygenation system 14 comprises a plurality of gas/fuel micro-channel assemblies 34. The deoxygenation system 14 comprises a plurality of fuel plates 44, oxygen permeable membranes 36, porous substrates 42 and substrate frame plates 46. A wave-like shape is defined by these plates and membranes. The wave-like shape improves efficiency and indispensability and accelerates deoxygenation. During operation, fuel flowing through a fuel channel 38 contacts the oxygen permeable membrane 36. A vacuum creates an oxygen partial pressure difference between the internal wall of the fuel channel 38 and the oxygen permeable membrane 36. Dissolved oxygen in fuel thereby migrates through the porous substrate 42, and oxygen flows out of the deoxygenation system 14 through a sweep channel 40 separate from the fuel channel 38.
