PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sidewalk which ensures the safety of a sidewalk user so as to be spaced away from a roadway even if the sidewalk user unconsciously performs a dangerous action. SOLUTION: According to the road structure, a sidewalk guard band 6 is secured between the roadway 5 and the sidewalk 7. The sidewalk guard band 6 is formed of: an automobile invasion preventive facility band 3 which functions to protect a space band where a sidewalk user performs an unconscious action, from invasion of an automobile; the space band 18 where the sidewalk user performs the unconscious action; and a sidewalk user protective facility band (a fence, a wall, etc.) 9 for protecting the sidewalk user from entering the roadway, in this order from the roadway to the sidewalk.
