PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article inspection device capable of reducing excess extraction processing or the like by a manager, and facilitating maintenance, and having excellent maintainability in a network environment. SOLUTION: This article inspection device includes an inspection means 10 for inspecting a required property or state of an article which is an inspection object; an abnormality detection means 30 for detecting an abnormality of an environment wherein inspection is executed, and generating abnormality detection information corresponding to the abnormality; a setting means 20 for setting respectively each operation condition of the inspection means and the abnormality detection means 30; and a transmission means 40 for transmitting and outputting to the outside alarm information corresponding to the abnormality detection information based on the abnormality detection information from the abnormality detection means. The transmission means 40 has a storage part 41 for storing a plurality of kinds of alarm information corresponding to a plurality of kinds of abnormality detection information from the abnormality detection means 30 and a plurality of address information assigned to each kind of the alarm information as a partner for transmission output, and transmits and outputs the alarm information to the partner assigned to each kind of the alarm information.
