<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To airtightly shut off the upper part and lower part of an inner tray, to make it difficult for a viscous cosmetic housed inside a housing body to leak out from the upper part of the inner tray to the lower part, and to smoothly deliver the inner tray. <P>SOLUTION: The container for the viscous cosmetic comprises: a cylindrical housing body 1; a lid body 2 detachably connected to the upper end of the housing body 1; a turning body 3 turnably connected and disposed to the housing body 1; a screw shaft 4 disposed at the center part of the turning body 3; the inner tray 12 threadedly attached to the outer periphery of the screw shaft 4, whose outer periphery is slidably stuck and disposed to the inner surface of the housing body 1; and annular packing 7 stuck and disposed on the surface on the side of the threadedly attached part 5 of the inner tray 12, for which an inner peripheral end face 36 is disposed so as to come into contact with the outer periphery of the screw shaft 4. Then, by disposing the inner tray 12 in the state of tightening the outer periphery of the inner tray 12 in the direction of the screw shaft 4 by the inner peripheral surface of the housing body 1, the inner tray 12 is made slidable in an axial direction in the state of being difficult to be turned inside the housing body 1.
