<p>An animal feed composition containing the purification by-products of conjugated linoleic acid which are discarded as an active ingredient is provided to efficiently produce an animal and animal products containing highly unsaturated fatty acid at low costs. An animal feed composition contains 0.02 to 10 parts by weight of the purification by-products of conjugated linoleic acid and additionally dietary supplements, food additives and/or feed additives, based on the total weight of the composition. The purification by-products of conjugated linoleic acid are obtained by purifying conjugated linoleic acid, adding the filtrate and removing hexane. The animal is a cow, horse, mule, donkey, goat, sheep, deer, pig, rabbit, dog and poultry. The poultry is a chicken, turkey, duck, ostrich, goose or quail.</p> |
