The multi-layer solar cell (S) has a layer (1) made of photovoltaic thin film laminate, where another layer (2), made of polymer modified bitumen, is coated at a lower side of the former layer. A polyester barrier film is arranged between the former and the latter layer at the lower side of the former layer. The polyester barrier film is connected to the former layer by an adhesive. The polyester barrier film is a polyethylene terephthalate film or a polyethylene terephthalate or aluminum or polyethylene terephthalate film with an aluminum layer at an inner side.
