Disclosed in the present invention are a message forward processing method, apparatus, controller and routing forward device, the method including: obtaining label splicing capability information for identifying whether one or more routing forward devices support label splicing, and/or path identity capability information for identifying whether the one or more routing forward devices support path identity; transmitting to the one or more routing forward devices forward strategies for performing forward processing on messages to be forwarded according to the obtained label splicing capability information and/or path identity capability information. By the present invention, solved is the problem that messages could not been effectively forward processed as whether functions of segment routing (SR) LIST splicing and/or path identity are supported could not be learnt among related devices performing forward processing on messages in the related art, and furthermore, the effects are achieved that the capability information of whether label splicing and/or path identity is supported is notified among devices, and the messages are forward processed. |
