The invention relates to a device for guiding animals by means of a leash, said device comprising a housing that contains: - a winding mechanism for automatically winding the leash onto a leash roll; - a blocking mechanism for blocking an unwinding or winding movement of the leash; and - an actuation element for actuating the blocking mechanism. According to the invention, the winding mechanism is integrated into a first housing part that can be attached to a harness on the animal, and the blocking mechanism is integrated into a second housing part which is removably retained by the first housing part or by a receiving element connected to the harness. |
