Provided is an air conditioner capable of continuing to run even when a gas-leakage detection sensor deteriorates. This air conditioner is equipped with an outdoor unit having a compressor and an indoor unit connected to the outdoor unit, uses a flammable coolant, and is further equipped with a coolant-gas detection sensor and a control unit for stopping the compressor when the compressor is running and an abnormality is determined to have occurred when the coolant-gas detection sensor detects coolant gas. Furthermore, the control unit stops the compressor when the coolant-gas detection sensor detects the coolant gas, and thereafter, does not start running the compressor until an operation to cancel the abnormality has been performed. |
