PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-assemble and inexpensive connector, such as a high speed transmission connector, having a small number of components, while ensuring high shielding properties.SOLUTION: A connector A includes a mold member 2 having an inner insulator 21 integrally, where the mold member 2 includes a sleeve insertion part formed on the outside of the inner insulator 21, and a sleeve 3 is inserted from the front opening thereof, terminal insertion holes 24, 24, ... penetrating the inner insulator 21 in the connector connection direction, and signal terminals 1, 1, ... are inserted from the rear opening thereof, and a pair of shield insertion parts 26, 26 penetrating vertically so as to communicate with the sleeve insertion part. A shield body 4 includes side plates 42, 42 extending downward from the opposite side edges of a top plate 41, and a rear end closing plate 43 extending downward from the rear edge of the top plate 41.
