The present invention relates to a device for removing carbon attached to the inside of an ascending pipe in a carbonization chamber, and a method for removing carbon. The device for removing carbon attached to the inside of an ascending pipe in a carbonization chamber comprises the following: a compressed air supplying unit spraying compressed air by being connected to one lower side of the ascending pipe which is linked to the upper side of the carbonization chamber; a gas nozzle formed along the upper circumference of the ascending pipe; a gas pipe supplying fuel by being connected to the gas nozzle; and an ignition unit including an ignition plug located around the gas nozzle.
