PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance physical object measuring accuracy with respect to a technique for space-discretely measuring the three-dimensional shape of a physical object as a set of a plurality of vertices by space-discretely referring, with respect to a plurality of fictive reference lines crossing a line direction, to a two-dimensional image obtained by projecting a pattern beam having at least one bright part extending in the line direction onto the object having a boundary with the outside. SOLUTION: Boundary lines of a taken image are extracted from the taken image based on the taken image obtained by imaging the physical object (S401). The number of times the boundary lines respectively crossing a plurality of fictive calculation reference lines that cross the line direction is space-discretely calculated as the density of boundary lines as to the respective reference lines based on the extracted boundary lines (S402 to S405).
