<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of preventing a leakage of developer at both ends of a developing roller, and to provide an image forming unit. <P>SOLUTION: A developer container 16 stores developer containing a magnetic substance. A developing roller 17 is held in the developer container 16 so as to be rotatable, and holds the developer thereon by magnetic force. A magnetic sealing member 26 is disposed with a space left from the peripheral face of each end of the developing roller 17. The end of the magnetic seal member 26 disposed upstream in the rotating direction of the developing roller 17 has a width narrower than that of the downstream side in the rotating direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
