PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method for a segment used in a shield tunneling method for improving efficiency of the segment assembly work. SOLUTION: In this assembly method, the segment 1a on one side provided with a plurality of circular pins 10 protrudedly in connection end parts in the peripheral direction among two segments having positional relationship formed by connecting them mutually in the peripheral direction and the segment 1b on the other side provided with female holes 11 in which the circular pins 10 are fitted and pin guide long holes 12 having tips having enlarged diameter over large length along the axial direction of the segment while communicating with the female holes 11 on a connection end face in the peripheral direction are used, both of the segments 1a, 1b are combined while the circular pins 10 in the segment 1a on one side are fitted into the pin guide long holes 12 in the segment 1b on the other side when connecting two segments, and the circular pins 10 are fitted into the female holes 11 by moving the segment 1b in the axial direction in this condition.
