摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink compsn. which gives an image excellent in resistances to scratch and water, does not cause nozzle clogging, and enables stable printing by compounding fine polymer particles having film-forming properties, carboxyl groups at the surfaces, and a reactivity with a divalent- metal salt with a colorant, a water-soluble org. solvent. and water. SOLUTION: The reactivity of the polymer particles with the divalent-metal salt is such that, when 3 vol. of an aq. emulsion contg. the particles in a concn. of 0.1 wt.% is brought into contact with 1 vol. of an aq. soln. of the divalent- metal salt with a concn. of 1 mol/mol, the time necessary for the transmission of light with a wavelength of 700 nm to be decreased to 50% of the initial value is 1&times;10<4> sec or lower. The particles in the compsn. forms a resin film when the solvent evaporates, thus strongly fixing the colorant on the surface of a recording medium. The particles, contg. carboxyl groups in a large amt., do not have the affinity with a water-repellent-treated ink jet nozzle and is effective for preventing defects in delivery. The particles are produced by the emulsion polymn. of an acrylic ester, etc.
