<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which presents a neat appearance by closing a tray and closing a front opening of an apparatus housing, and which is compact and capable of making a depth dimension smaller in the storage of the tray. <P>SOLUTION: A paper feed tray 10 doubles as an opening/closing member for the front opening 1 of the apparatus housing, and a part near a lower end, which is supported in a vertically turnable manner by a turning hinge 19 as an inner hinge, is turned upward and downward so that a front part can be opened/closed. A paper output tray 25 and an inner cover 28 are provided inside it by sequentially displacing a supporting position highly to the back. The tray 25 and the inner cover 28 are housed in an inclined state so that the abutment of an end part 21 of an end fence 20 attached to the tray 10 can be prevented. Thus, the front of an ink cartridge 17 and that of an ink head 18 are inclined. The turning hinge 19 of the tray 10, near which a side fence 22 is provided, has an inner hinge structure, and can be housed in a space of a paper feed opening 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
