发明名称 PREPROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR LOW LATENCY OF SYNDROME CALCULATION IN BCH DECODER
摘要 A preprocessing method for a low-latency syndrome calculation in a BCH decoder receives data to be encoded and performs BCH encoding on the received data by using a plurality of minimum polynomials which are factors of the minimum common multiple polynomial of a generator polynomial on a Galois field when preprocessing a BCH decoder to input the data to a syndrome generator of the BCH decoder. The BCH decoder includes encoding operation blocks for the respective minimum polynomials. The encoding operation blocks other than the initial encoding operation block output respective processing result values to one among a path for inputting the processing result value as an input value of the next encoding operation block and a path for inputting the processing result value as an input value of the syndrome generator. The preprocessing method of the present invention can reduce the complexity of a syndrome calculation.
