PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten switching time when a fault occurs in a node or a link of a relay network in a multicast distribution service without increasing loads of members of a multicast group.SOLUTION: In a multicast distribution system for performing IP multicast distribution by storing a packet constituting multicast flow in an Ethernet frame to be transferred, to the multicast flow F1 to be always multiplexed and distributed via routers A, B, in a multicast selection receiver 10, any flow is originally selected, transferred to a lower member according to a predetermined rule by a selection processing part 14, the number of received frames of the respective flows is counted per MAC address at a transmission source for predetermined time by a counter 13, when there is a flow exceeding the number of frames of the selected flow, the flow is newly selected, and transferred to the lower member. |
