PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin absorbent article which does not cause liquid leakage, has a high liquid absorption speed, and is excellent in dry feeling.SOLUTION: An absorption complex 4a comprises: a top sheet 2 made of liquid permeable sheet; an absorber 1a which is composed of an approximately &OHgr;-shaped SAP sheet 11a placed below the top sheet 2 and a hydrophilic sheet 12a containing pulp which is placed below the SAP sheet 11a and is configured as it goes along the approximate &OHgr; shape of the SAP sheet 11a; and a liquid impermeable back sheet 3 placed below the absorber 1a. In an absorbent article 7a, approximately &OHgr;-shaped top part both end parts of the SAP sheet 11a are joined to approximately &OHgr;-shaped both bottom parts in the width direction of the SAP sheet at a plurality of parts in the longitudinal direction; end parts of approximately &OHgr;-shaped end parts of both the bottom parts of the SAP sheet 11a are wrapped by the end parts of approximately &OHgr;-shaped bottom part of the hydrophilic sheet 12a containing pulp. |
