PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless phone that can control power of a slave unit on the basis of both the RSSI and a CRC error rate. SOLUTION: A master unit control section 100 has a slave unit discrimination means 2, that discriminates whether slave unit power information is 'high' or 'low', an RSSI discrimination means 4 and a CRC discrimination means 3 and a notice means 5 that makes a request and a notice to a slave unit. The notice means requests the slave unit to set its power to a 'low' state, when the slave unit power information is 'high', the CRC is discriminated to be a prescribed value or below, and the RSSI is discriminated to be a 1st prescribed value or larger, the notice means requests the slave unit to set its power to a 'high' state when the slave unit power information is 'low' and the RSSI is discriminated to be a 2nd prescribed value or smaller, and the notice means requests the slave unit to set its power to a 'high' state when the slave unit power information is 'low', the CRC is discriminated to be a prescribed value or over, and the RSSI is discriminated to be a 2nd prescribed value or larger.
