PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-transfer recording medium which is excellent in thermal sensitivity, i.e., transfer property, and also, excellent in bar code printing quality, especially in the printing quality (scratch-resistance, smear-resistance or the like of images) of lateral bars (bar codes which are formed in the perpendicular direction to the moving direction of a thermal head). SOLUTION: For this heat-transfer recording medium, a release layer is provided on a base material, and a heat-transfer ink layer is laminated on the release layer. In such a heat-transfer recording medium, the release layer contains a solid solution particle, which comprises at least two different kinds of thermally melting compounds, has two grading distribution peaks, and also, wherein the larger grading peak is located in a range of 6.0 to 60 μm. |
