PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery sewing machine capable of performing safe embroidery sewing in the embroidery sewing machine provided with a turnable Y direction moving mechanism. SOLUTION: When a Y direction moving arm 1 is at an embroidery stop position, a turning shaft 21 is pushed down and a fixing projection 22 and a groove 43 are engaged, a microswitch 6 is turned on. On the other hand, when the turning shaft 21 is pushed up, the microswitch 6 is turned off.
