PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure in a round type recliner improving the assembling property by reducing a press-fit load and having no backlash in the rotation direction between a base plate and an external gear. SOLUTION: This seat reclining device is provided with a holder ring 50 superposing the internal gear 20, the external gear 10 and a base plate 30 and clampingly supporting their outer circumferential parts. The base plate 30 is formed with a plurality of internal teeth 37 fitted with external teeth 14 of the external gear 10 in a circular recessed part formed into a half-hollowed shape, and the internal teeth 37 are composed of tooth mold parts 38A press-fitted in the intervals between teeth parts of the external gear 10, and tooth mold parts 38B fitted between tooth parts of the external gear 10 with clearances formed therebetween.
